A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Manufacturing Sales Representative to drive new business growth. We are looking for a true go-getter who thrives on prospecting, opening doors, building relationships, and creating opportunities. This is a hunter-focused role ideal for someone with experience in industrial, automation, controls, electrical, or technical sales who enjoys developing new business and building a strong book of business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow new business opportunities within industrial and manufacturing markets
- Prospect through cold calling, networking, referrals, and business development activities
- Open doors with key decision-makers and generate qualified opportunities
- Schedule and conduct customer meetings to present manufacturing capabilities and solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
- Identify customer needs and collaborate with internal teams to develop appropriate manufacturing solutions
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned accounts
- Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support customer requirements
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to generate leads and increase market visibility
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within the CRM system
- Support the growth of control panel and enclosure business, with future opportunities involving wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and PCB assemblies
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience in industrial, automation, controls, electrical, technical, or manufacturing-related sales environments
- Experience developing new business through prospecting and relationship building
- Background in automation sales, industrial sales, controls, panel systems, or electrical products preferred
- Experience selling project-based solutions is a plus
- Comfortable making cold calls, setting appointments, and creating opportunities with new customers
- Experience identifying and engaging key decision-makers within industrial and manufacturing organizations preferred
- Experience using CRM software (HubSpot preferred)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand Bills of Materials (BOMs) is a plus
- Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Compensation & Benefits
