Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team. This role involves performing inspections and testing on carbon pipelines and welded products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong welding inspection skills, be able to identify defects, and ensure all work meets specifications and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.

Inspect and test carbon pipelines and welded products in progress and completed jobs.

Identify welding defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercut.

Record and document inspection and test results accurately.

Issue and follow up on non-conformances until resolution.

Review welded products to recommend acceptance or rejection.

Communicate inspection findings and recommend process improvements to management.

Measure product dimensions using instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.

Adhere to safety practices to ensure personal and team safety.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Primarily outdoor work, exposed to extreme heat and cold.

Regular walking over long distances.

Frequent lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds.

Climbing ladders and accessing manholes to inspect infrastructure.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification with D1.1 experience required.

Minimum of 4 years relevant welding inspection experience.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding tolerances.

Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work off shifts and overtime as needed.

Experience testing concrete and compaction preferred.

Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record required.
