Civil Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting utility and telecommunications projects across the Midwest. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, contributing to design, analysis, and project execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Participate in meetings with governmental agencies, utility representatives, local municipalities, and community stakeholders

Develop and review engineering designs across a range of utility and infrastructure projects

Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and internal teams to align designs with project objectives

Conduct site assessments, field surveys, and data collection to support engineering design and planning

Prepare and review construction drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation

Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards

Utilize GIS tools to enhance data accuracy and support field operations

Provide technical support to field teams during project execution

Assist with permitting and regulatory processes, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements

Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program

0–4 years of relevant civil engineering experience

Familiarity with AutoCAD and ArcGIS preferred

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Work Environment

Primarily office-based with opportunities for fieldwork

Occasional travel to project sites as needed

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and technical documents
