Responsibilities
- Service and repair HVAC systems including ducted/ductless residential and light commercial
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic devices.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems including pipe repairs and refrigerant charging
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for all completed tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all service activities.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and property maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding HVAC design principles to facilitate accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience as a service technician working with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience in field service environments with the ability to manage multiple jobs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Valid driver’s license; comfortable driving between job sites.
