Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
- Conduct detailed floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve flooring quality and appearance
- Maintain restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Handle janitorial duties with efficiency, including cleaning windows, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as needed
- Assist with light custodial repairs or maintenance tasks to support overall facilities upkeep
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning initiatives as scheduled or required
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services within commercial or residential settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods including buffing and polishing, and general facilities maintenance
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers effectively
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and safety standards
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and bending frequently
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
