Part Time Straight Truck Driver

• We currently offering 4 days a week...Thursday through Sunday 4:00PM - ~ 9:00PM. Starting & ending times can vary slightly due to traffic, weather, size of load, stops, etc. Route is from near Milwaukee International Airport to downtown Milwaukee area and back. Your trip will be to service 9-10 hotels in the downtown Milwaukee area. (Currently Paying $130.00/daily for this route - any additional stops will add to this pay)

You'll be driving an automatic 28' 2025 HINO straight truck, 3 rows of e-tracking, and a large rail-style lift gate.

The route is always the same, with the exception of adding a potential stop when hotels are busy. You'll deliver & pick-up wheeled carts of linen from hotels. Driver should be in decent physical shape as the carts, although rarely, can weigh up to 500lbs. Driver is responsible for loading and unloading of the truck, recording in/out times, and cart count on the provided office computer or phone app. Drivers must perform a pre-trip inspection of the truck prior to each shift.

Driver MUST have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Insurance Company may allow us to cover drivers with 1 or 2 minor infractions within the last 3 years however. Circumstances will vary, but its best to have a clean MVR for the last 3 years. Driver MUST be on time with all deliveries.

REQUIREMENTS
Class D Drivers License (or higher)
Excellent Driving Record
Logging into ELD daily with cell phone
Keeping the truck CLEAN, and reporting any maintenance issues.

NO SMOKING IN THE TRUCK
Fueling and normal driver maintenance to the truck.
Excellent with People (customers); Friendly
On-time for work and deliveries.
Filling in for other drivers on other routes if necessary.
Proper Securing of Loads
Good overall health
Loading and Unloading of the truck (wheeled carts)

TRAINING
Training pay is ½ the normal rate for each run learned. For example: $100 / 2 = $50 per day of training. The sooner you learn the route without needing additional training, the sooner you'll receive the full rate of pay.

NOTE
The first day will be a "ride-a-long" to show you the job to see if it is something you'd be interested in pursuing before you begin training. During this "ride-a-long" you will not be required to work; only observe. There is no pay for the "ride-a-long".
