Financial Analyst (Postage & Operations)
Join a Data-Driven Team Powering High-Volume Print & Mail Excellence
Are you a detail-oriented financial analyst who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments? Do you enjoy turning complex data into meaningful insights that drive efficiency and cost savings? If so, we’re looking for a Financial Analyst to take ownership of postage operations and analytics within our dynamic print and mail production environment.
This is a unique opportunity to blend finance, operations, and data analytics while playing a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, optimizing postage spend, and supporting client success.
What You’ll Do
Own Postage Accuracy & Reconciliation
- Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly postage activity across multiple client accounts and systems
- Validate funding, balances, and vendor invoices (USPS and postage providers)
- Investigate discrepancies and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure financial integrity
Deliver Client-Focused Insights
- Produce detailed reporting on postage usage, job-level analytics, and trends
- Monitor client budgets and SLA performance
- Identify savings opportunities through analysis of mail class, presort, and sortation strategies
- Support client presentations with clear, data-driven insights
Support Financial & Operational Performance
- Maintain dashboards for postage profitability and cost tracking
- Forecast postage needs for large-scale and recurring programs
- Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and cost allocations
- Analyze job and customer profitability, providing recommendations to leadership
- Support procurement with material cost analysis and purchasing activities
Drive Process Improvement
- Streamline reconciliation and reporting workflows through automation
- Partner with IT and data teams to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Identify inefficiencies in mailing operations impacting postage spend
- Ensure compliance with USPS regulations and industry best practices
What You Bring
- Experience in finance, data analytics, print & mail operations, or similar environments
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage high-volume, detailed data
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Knowledge of USPS systems, mailing classes, and presort processes is highly valued
- Familiarity with tools such as USPS EPS, CAPS, BCG, Pitney Bowes, Quadient, or BCC Mail Manager is a bonus
Work Environment
- Office and production/warehouse setting
- Combination of desk work and hands-on operational exposure
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) and use of office/production equipment
- Minimal to no travel required
