What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian- 1st Shift position at Lineage Logistics Holding, LLC?
Job Summary
Maintain a clean and safe environment in and around Lineage Logistics Holding, LLC facilities by adhering to all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, breakrooms, and office spaces. Wash and sweep inside the facility and pick up discarded trash.
- Facility Maintenance: Perform general maintenance of the entire facility, including the warehouse and freezer. Remove ice and pick up pieces of pallets.
- Grounds Keeping: Keep grounds clean and free of debris.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are in good working condition, locked up correctly after use, and stock levels are maintained by taking routine stock checks.
- Additional Duties: Operate floor cleaning equipment and pallet jacks. Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Safety Knowledge: Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
- Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs./9 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility. Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
- Cognitive Abilities: Basic math skills. Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Work Environment: Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.
