What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director Of Operations (RDO) position at Lineage Healthcare, LLC?
We are seeking an energized and experienced director of operations to lead our facilities. The RDO’s focus is providing hands-on support, guidance and direction on operations standards for cost control, quality and clinical and physical safety control while maintaining excellent service quality and high occupancy. Candidates must have a background in long term care nursing and administration.
RDO Responsibilities:
- Identify company goals and objectives and hold facility leadership teams responsible for the implementation and goal setting of strategic plan of the company.
- Evaluate, train and advise facility leadership teams on the impact of short-term and long-term planning, introduction of new programs and strategies and regulatory interaction.
- Monitor each facility, communicate and interpret policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist, coach, and discipline staff as necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections of care services and of building environment to ensure they are of the highest quality, meeting regulatory and facility standards. Ensure they are effectively managed
- Maintain current knowledge of State Regulations and ensure compliance in all surveys conducted by licensing authority.
- Communicate and enforce state and company policies and procedures including the company’s HR policies and rules of employee conduct. Directly discipline and effectively recommend corrective and disciplinary action to enforce such policies.
- Assist in selecting qualified, appropriate candidates for employment in leadership positions at the facilities. Ensure training and incentive programs are in place and working properly.
- Monitor employee morale, maintaining high level of team spirit and unit cohesion. Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. Manage turnover. Maintain network of recruitment sources.
- Evaluate performance and effectively recommend changes to terms and conditions of employment based on such evaluations.
- Monitor labor costs, raw food costs, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll in concert with the back office and the facility staff. Appropriately handle and safeguard facility funds. Hold the management team of each assigned building in compliance with the objectives and goals set for each building.
- Oversee the management of capital expenditure projects as undertaken by each building, planning projects in accordance to approved guidelines and ensuring that the expenditures meet cost projections and completion timeframes.
- Ensure optimum/maximum occupancy, revenue and profitability for each facility. Guide, manage and mentor Administrators and regional team to effectively reach occupancy and revenue goals.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing plans in partnership with corporate team. Keep abreast of market trends and competition. Maximize occupancy, efficiency of payer mix, and developing facility staff members as marketers of the facilities. Effectively perform all phases of external relationship building/partnering with referral sources.
- Act as role model to all staff in all facilities in demonstration of professional operations, communication and resident care.
RDO Qualification Requirements:
- BA in Business administration, healthcare administration or related healthcare discipline
- IL LNHA certified, at least 5 years experience as an administrator or regional director
- LPN or RN certified, at least 5 years LTC experience; nurse manager experience a plus!
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- The ability to draft and create policies and procedures.

Pay: $125,000 - $145,000 commensurate with experience
