Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Utility Locator to join our team in Harlingen, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately locating and marking underground utilities such as gas, water, and sewer lines to prevent damage during construction or excavation projects. The Utility Locator will use specialized equipment and tools to identify the precise location of utilities and communicate this information to project managers and construction crews.

Responsibilities:

• Use electronic locating equipment to identify and mark underground utilities
• Read and interpret utility maps and construction plans
• Communicate with project managers and construction crews to ensure accurate utility markings
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
• Maintain accurate records of utility locations and markings

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a Utility Locator or similar role
• Knowledge of utility locating techniques and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
