We are seeking a highly qualified, motivated Staff Accountant to work in our Corporate office. Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years experience. He or she should be prepared to demonstrate proven and measurable results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare accrual or cashed-based journal entries as needed
- Review financial statements and explain large variances
- Review with site staff and accounts payable for coding reclassification
- Review accounts receivable and resident ledgers
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Complete quarterly management report packages for lenders
- Process and reconcile mortgage statements
- Process and record real estate taxes, school taxes, and building insurance bills
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
Requirements:
- Must have 2 years prior experience working with bank reconciliations, local, state, and federal
tax filings. - Strong communication skills, oral and written.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritize tasks while working on numerous projects simultaneously.
- Experience in Yardi Software, not mandatory.
