What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Program and Project Manager position at Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc.?
Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc. is partnering with the other Lindt business units in the region to realize a complex business transformation program which has impacts on the organization and on the technologies used by the business. The implementation of a new ERP system based on SAP S/4 technology is one of the key steps in the program. In this context, the IT Program & Project Manager will be responsible to manage the project activities (project management) as well as ensuring consistency between the decisions made and the solutions designed/implemented in the different streams of the overall program (program management). This role will require very hands-on involvement in the project management activities as well as the ability to steer the overall program in line with the strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and communication skills, experience with similar programs and projects, and a strong understanding of SAP ERP solutions (ideally S/4) by functional and technical perspectives.
Once the new ERP system is in place, the IT Program & Project Manager will move on to the delivery of the other components of the program which are already known and will start working on identifying new components to be planned and delivered. The ideal candidate for the role will relocate to the locations where the projects take place.
- Lead and manage the overall program to implement the new SAP ERP system and other connected applications in the North America region
- Work closely with project sponsors, project lead, cross-functional teams, and external consultants to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for the initiatives of the program
- Oversee multiple project teams ensuring program goals are reached
- Balance the requirements of the single business units with the end-goal of having one SAP system working across all of them
- Further develop the program once the main implementation projects are completed
- Coordinate day-to-day activities of the project, including managing tasks, status, and owning the budget for the entire project
- Create, maintain, and monitor the project plan, schedule, and budget, ensuring that deliverables and milestones are met and that the project is completed on time and on budget
- Report the project/program status to senior management and to the Steering Committee
- Identify, analyze, and respond to the project risks
- Play a very significant role in the requirements analysis and in the definition of the solution by a technical and business processes perspective

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field
- At least 10 years of progressive experience managing medium to large SAP implementation projects
- Functional and technical expertise with one or more SAP ERP modules
- Proficiency in at least one project management methodology
- Proven experience in people and team management
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field
- Experience with template-based SAP roll-out approach
- Exceptional leadership, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Project management related qualifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or similar)
- Experience working in the consumer-packaged goods industry
- Experience implementing SAP S/4 in a project manager and solution architect role
