On-site role in Green Bay, WI. No remote or hybrid.
Proven experience implementing and sustaining CI programs in manufacturing required.
This role builds and sustains LMC's Continuous Improvement program across manufacturing and office workflows.
You'll lead efforts to eliminate waste, optimize material flow, and drive Kaizen and Lean initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost—partnering closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to align CI work with business priorities.
This role is best suited for someone who has implemented and sustained continuous improvement programs in manufacturing environments and understands how Lean integrates with day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Design, implement, and sustain a site CI roadmap with project funnel, prioritization, and governance
- Establish standard CI tools and expectations for problem solving, Kaizen chartering, and performance tracking
- Improve shop and office efficiency through streamlined workflows and standard work
- Implement and sustain 6S across manufacturing and administrative environments
- Optimize material flow and layout from receiving through shipping
- Identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing and administrative processes
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to align improvements with priorities
- Coach and train teams to build a continuous improvement culture
- Define baseline performance and track results (lead time, OTD, scrap/rework, labor efficiency, WIP, 6S scores)
- Proven experience implementing and sustaining a Continuous Improvement program in manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Kaizen facilitation
- Experience improving material flow and identifying waste in physical processes
- Experience training teams on 6S and sustaining performance through audits
- Understanding of machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly environments
- Ability to improve office workflows through process mapping and standard work
- Strong communication and facilitation skills from shop floor to leadership
- ERP/MRP experience (Epicor preferred)If you’ve worked in project-based or engineered-to-order manufacturing before, you’ll understand what this role requires.
