Bilingual Host / Cashier

Job Overview
Lindo Mexico is looking for a bilingual host/cashier to join our team. This person is one of the first team members our guests interact with, so we are looking for someone who is friendly, professional, has a strong work ethic, and takes pride in their presentation.

This position can be fast-paced, especially during busy hours, so the right person must be able to stay organized, communicate well, and provide great customer service. Weekend availability is required. We are looking for someone who wants a stable position.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly in person and over the phone
• Make guests feel welcome and provide excellent customer service
• Manage the table management app, paging app, and reservation system
• Escort guests to assigned tables in a friendly and professional manner
• Coordinate with servers to help ensure prompt and courteous service
• Answer incoming phone calls
• Take carryout and takeout orders accurately
• Take reservations in a professional and friendly manner
• Manage online, walk-in, and call-in takeout orders
• Pack takeout orders according to company procedures
• Accept payments in person and over the phone
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, management, and guests to ensure orders and dining details are handled correctly
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Inspect dining and service areas for cleanliness and proper setup
• Keep the front entrance and host stand clean and organized at all times
• Complete cleaning tasks such as wiping spills, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
• Clean and sanitize menus after each use
• Assist with silverware and plasticware preparation
• Follow opening and closing side work lists
• Work with the busser to help maintain a clean dining room
• Help clean tables and serve chips, salsa, and beverages as needed
• Keep the patio area clean and organized

Skills

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Must be at least 17 years old
• Previous customer service experience required
• Must be available to work weekends
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional presentation and friendly demeanor
• Attentive, tactful, courteous, and dependable
• Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
• Able to bend, twist, and lift up to 15 lbs
• Able to take initiative and work well with a team
• Looking for a stable position with opportunity to grow
