Role Description The Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Syracuse, NY, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on active construction projects. This position coordinates subcontractors and site personnel, ensures work complies with plans and specifications, and maintains project schedules. The superintendent monitors site safety, conducts regular inspections, and enforces safety policies and regulations. Daily tasks include tracking progress, assisting with quality control, communicating with project managers and clients, and resolving field issues to keep the project on schedule and within budget. The role also involves maintaining accurate site documentation, including logs, reports, and updates on materials, inspections, and milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent.
- Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, quality control, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Syracuse, NY and adapt to changing project demands and timelines.
