Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely
- Support the kitchen team during meal service by maintaining station cleanliness and organization
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance
- Help with basic cooking tasks, including heating, plating, and garnishing dishes for service
- Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and notify supervisors of stock needs
- Support catering events by preparing food items in accordance with event specifications
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service settings preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques necessary for efficient kitchen operation
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices
