What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Estimator position at Linden Construction?
Linden Construction is seeking an Estimator to join our team to aid in the coordination of commercial construction projects.The qualified candidate must be task-oriented, motivated, analytical, and thorough. The individual best suited for this opportunity will be extremely organized, detail oriented and able to work in a deadline driven environment. He/She should possess, and demonstrate, the ability to work with cross functional team members to achieve goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans, specifications and contract documents
- Aid team members in preparation for accurate, competitive bids
- Perform quality take-offs
- Request quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers to build estimates
- Qualify bidding vendors and subcontractors
- Manage subcontractor database
- Assist with budgeting
- Develop innovative ways to improve our bid management processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management field preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks and prioritize
- Analytical and purposeful in processes
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Motivated to work for a growing company
- Be adaptable and flexible with this ever-changing industry (technology, design, means and methods)
- Possess the ability to see how pieces and processes fit together to affect the bigger picture
