Material Planner

Linde Wiemann U.S., Inc. is looking for a motivated Material Planner . This position is responsible for the planning and management of several key logistics activities. This position works onsite with team members and supervisors to execute, control and organize everything related to the supply of materials, transportation of materials, and controlling packaging balance accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Controlling domestic and foreign suppliers to ensure no material shortages for production.
• Maintain daily and weekly contact with all suppliers to ensure the correct deliveries are on time for all materials
• Verify goods receipt from suppliers and take action if deliveries are incorrect
• Coordinate and schedule the transportation of parts for delivery to the factory
• Update all information related to suppliers (transit times, lead times, firm periods and demands) in the ERP system
• Perform daily analysis of alerts in suppliers’ schedules and stock levels to ensure releases can be delivered on time and in full
• Control inventory levels of materials in the factory according to management/company guidelines
• Analyze and define packaging that must be used by suppliers and customers making contact with packaging suppliers when necessary
• Support the creation and validation of packaging agreements between suppliers, internal production and customers
• Update all information concerning packaging in the system to ensure the whole company has access to the packaging information, as well as keeping the declarations and the packaging accounts updated
• Ensure production always has enough containers to produce by ordering containers from customers on time and ensure suppliers always have enough containers by sending empties on time
• Make, control and validate container inventories with suppliers and customers
• Coordinate with the Warehouse to receive shipments from our suppliers daily/weekly. Coordinate communications with suppliers to acknowledge delivery schedules daily/weekly
• Coordinate with carriers to arrange shipments and deliveries to the factory from our suppliers daily/weekly
• Maintain contact with transportation companies to update prices, request quotes, and look for new possible offers. Update and control transportation costs.
• Notify management of suspect material
• Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to meet customer demands.

Training/Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate's in business or related field a plus not required
• Five (5) or more years of supply chain or related professional experience
• Knowledge and experience of warehouse management/ERP systems preferred
• Knowledge and experience with material planning and procurement systems preferred
• Proficient computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office and ERP systems preferred
• Exceptional skills in time management, data mining, analysis, accountability and communication
• Ability to organize and complete multiple priorities on time
• Proven track record of effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work well as a part of a team but possessing the ability to work independently if/when required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,517.93 - $71,677.50 per year
