Location: Beaumont, Texas
The Helium Division distributes liquid and gaseous Helium for use in a variety of applications, including electronics, optical fibers, MRI/NMR, leak detection, and metal fabrication.
This Beaumont facility is importing and exporting gaseous or liquid helium. The imported or exported helium will be loaded or unloaded into designated manifolds/stations. Helium will be unloaded via delivered tube trailer, compressed, and injected into the cavern through a pipeline.

The Helium Technician I is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Committed to personal safety and environmental accountability.
Abide by Linde lone worker policies.
The ability to load/unload and secure product in accordance with DOT standards.
Assure proper communication with drivers, logistics, and management.
Must be professional.
Fill liquid & gas helium Bulk containers to our QMS (quality management system) standards.
Safe handling of hazardous materials (liquid & gaseous helium).
Ensure proper product composition and meet customer spec 100% of the time.
Troubleshoot any analytical issues and make proper decisions accordingly.
Be familiar with various types of compression and associated equipment.
Safely startup/shutdown necessary process equipment in a timely manner depending on customer or logistic demands.
Trouble shoot process upsets
Issue Safe Work Permits and LOTO any associated equipment to get work done safely.
Properly read and understand P&ID’s, PID process controls, and instrumentation.
Able to make proper equipment rounds, document any change, and convey any issues that need to be mitigated.
Perform duties; as trained; under minimal supervision, and in diverse weather conditions. Available for callout.
Can work overtime per OSHA guidelines
Accurately completes documentation such as timesheets, electronic logs, hazmat manifest, helium dewar tickets.
Computer and software use, for example: email, VTS data entry.
Maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices and conducts routine inspection of equipment and facilities.
Participates in and successfully completes training programs, risk management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal DOT regulations and company policy.
Reviews and follows procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards to meet all regulatory agency requirements.
Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
2 Year associates degree is preferred.
Industrial experience including liquid/gaseous product filling/unloading is preferred.Valid driver’s license and acceptable record.
Skills Required:
Basic computer skills; Microsoft Excel, Word, Email, Data entry, etc.
Able to pass a pre-employment physical (up to and including drug & alcohol test).
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to work shifts, which include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work safely around various types of rotating equipment
Must live/relocate within 45 miles of reporting location.
Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships.
