Plant Engineer

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will provide project support for Burns Harbor, IN, Gary, IN, and associated satellite plant operations
• Execute the Management of Change (MOC) work process, ensuring all changes to systems, equipment, and processes are properly evaluated, documented, and implemented in compliance with safety and operational standards
• Lead and support capital projects, process improvements, and infrastructure upgrades from concept through completion
• Further, you will troubleshoot plant equipment and systems to resolve reliability and performance issues
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost performance
• Monitor equipment performance data and drive corrective actions for underperforming assets
• And you will maintain and update documentation including P&IDs, SWDs, and site-specific operating procedures, in accordance with MOC requirements
• Travel approximately 15% to support multi-site operations

What makes you great

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field)
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills that strengthen collaboration across operational and technical teams
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products
• Working knowledge of Management of Change (MOC) processes
• Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time
• Flexibility in work schedule to support operations during startup, shutdown or unplanned events
