BAG Production Technician

Job Overview:

Linde is looking for qualified applicants to fill the role of Production Technician for the Air separation processes at our Ashtabula, OH facility. The Production Technician must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self-motivated, dependable, and work within a Unionized team environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties of a Production Technician include but are not limited to:

• Shift: Monday-Friday dayshift 07:00-15:30 with overtime and rotating on-call responsibilities as needed to support operations.

• Starting and shutting down equipment and processes
• Monitoring and adjusting equipment and plant process operating parameters
• Correctly performing valve line-ups
• Preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out-tag-out
• Correctly and safely permitting maintenance work
• Professional judgment for operating the facility safely, reliably, and efficiently at all times.
• Excellent computer skills required
• Procedure development and training of new employees
• Effectively communicating with our customers and suppliers when required
• Cryogenic equipment repair IE; Cryo Equipment Maintenance
• On-Call ability required within 24/7 operation environment. Plant emergencies, outages, shutdowns, and turnaround work may require working outside of the normal Monday to Friday schedule. Including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned

The Production Technician must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and recognize when to escalate matters when more experienced specialists must be called in for support.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• 2 years' Production Operations experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher preferred but not necessary

Salary:

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $48,263 - $70,785.
