Project Expediting Manager

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will act as the Single Point of Contact overseeing supplier performance for assigned projects with respect to delivery progress and drive on-time delivery of all equipment and materials
  • Further, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking mitigation plans to address potential risks and issues within the supply chain that could impact supplier performance and project schedules
  • Supporting project execution through the initiation and leadership of Supplier Performance Review Meetings in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders is part of your role
  • Using available supplier performance data, project schedules, and progress reports, you will identify and escalate potential risks and issues within both Linde’s and suppliers’ organizations to ensure timely resolution
  • You will collaborate globally with the Expediting organization to identify supplier performance risks, close gaps, and implement corrective actions to support successful project execution
  • Moreover, you will monitor critical purchase orders, track supplier commitments, and coordinate mitigation activities with Project Management whenever schedule risks or delivery issues arise
  • You will facilitate internal supplier progress meetings with Project Management, Engineering Leads, Expediters, and Logistics teams to review status, resolve issues, and define recovery plans when required
  • On top of this, you will prepare and communicate supplier progress reports for customers and project management, providing clear visibility of risks, opportunities, and overall supplier performance
  • In addition, you will develop and maintain Project Expediting Plans to ensure on-time delivery, review and analyze monthly supplier progress reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • You will lead and coordinate a team of expeditors assigned to projects, providing guidance, prioritization, and support to ensure effective execution of project objectives
  • Furthermore, you will conduct supplier progress review visits at manufacturing facilities to verify production status, assess supplier performance, and ensure alignment with project delivery requirements

What Makes You Great

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • You possess a minimum of five to seven (5–7) years of experience in manufacturing in a leadership role or five (5 ) years of experience in supply chain management
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is required
  • Further, you have a strong understanding of supply chain management principles, processes, and industry best practices
  • You demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business productivity tools for data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking
  • You possess intercultural experience and the ability to effectively operate within a complex, global, and rapidly changing business environment
  • As well as the ability to collaborate across functions, regions, and organizational levels while building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You have excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and senior management
  • Moreover, you demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
  • Finally, you possess a proactive mindset, high level of accountability, and the ability to identify risks and drive timely solutions to support business and project objectives.

The position owner will be LENA´s single point of contact for all supply chain issues related to commodities including life cycle management, overall supplier relationship, proposals and purchases, aftermarket support, escalation of issues and supplier performance. Acts as the liaison between Global / Regional Suppliers and our Internal customers (Linde Engineering, Global COE, Global Plant Operations Global Hydrogen, and Research & Development) management. The Commodity manager creates winning solutions through knowledge of the industry, collaboration on market opportunities, use of frame agreements (FA’s), introduction of new supplier options, knowledge of equipment and ability to deliver results through high impact negotiations.
