Maintenance Safety Coordinator

What you will enjoy doing*
- You will partner closely with the Safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to ensure maintenance programs, inspections, and corrective actions comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Moreover you will organize, schedule, and complete safety-related program tasks, preventive maintenance work orders, inspections, and repairs to ensure safe and continuous plant operations
- Further, you will support maintenance efforts including troubleshooting, repair coordination, installation, modification, and upkeep of emergency response equipment and systems
- A large portion of your scope will be focused on conducting mandatory tests and inspections while ensuring corrective actions are properly documented, tracked, and completed for any identified findings
- You will manage and maintain accurate documentation within the CMMS (MaintainX) and plant-specific spreadsheets, ensuring maintenance records, schedules, timelines, inspection results, and findings are properly recorded and maintained
- Further you will communicate maintenance schedules, repair timelines, inspection requirements, and completion updates with cross-functional departments including Production, Safety, Engineering, and Maintenance
- Additionally you will partner with external contractors for specialized maintenance and safety inspections, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with company-specific safety standards
- Lastly you will oversee the plant's specialty and universal waste processes, working closely with the EHS team to ensure proper handling, storage, documentation, and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements
- A High School diploma or GED is required; an associate degree or technical certification is preferred
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance, maintenance planning, or coordination experience Experience reading and understanding mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics is preferred
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using a CMMS database is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and with external vendors
- Ability to work occasional weekend coverage or flexible scheduling as needed
