- Schedule Monday-Friday
- Hourly rate: $15.00/hour
- Non-exempt, benefits not included
Summary: Lindbergh Early Childhood is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated staff to join our Summer Camp team. Multiple roles are available, including Lead Facilitators, Assistant Facilitators, Floats, and Substitutes.
Summer Camp Staff are responsible for maintaining a safe and engaging environment for children while supporting the implementation of camp programming. Staff work collaboratively with Camp Supervisors and Camp Leaders to foster a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere that promotes student growth, safety, and positive relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties as assigned)
- Create and maintain a welcoming, compassionate, and inclusive environment for all students.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues; greet families daily and foster strong partnerships.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development using positive, research-based strategies.
- Implement lesson plans and follow verbal or written plans to promote curiosity, engagement, and a love of learning.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a consistent, high-quality camp experience.
- Provide leadership and guidance to part-time staff, as assigned.
- Supervise students in all settings, including classrooms, indoor and outdoor play areas, and transitions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and orderly environment; monitor for and report safety concerns.
- Follow all LECE and district policies and procedures, including confidentiality requirements.
- Monitor student safety at all times and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and required documentation, including medication administration in accordance with policy.
- Participate in required trainings, meetings, and ongoing professional learning.
- Perform duties indoors and outdoors, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or currently pursuing.
