Position Summary:
As the Business Development Manager, you will be provided with incredible support and autonomy to combine your proven sales experience with our unique approach to customer-focused growth to expand our market presence and increase sales revenue. Your primary focus will be to cultivate existing relationships for organic growth, while identifying, targeting, and pursuing business opportunities with new customers and connecting them to our value-added technical resources to close new business opportunities.
Position description
Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Identify, target and approach prospective customers through prospecting, networking, referrals from existing customers, participating in organizations and clubs, attending trade shows and conferences, market research, etc.
- Establish and maintain multi-level relationships with our customers to better understand their needs and determine the focus of our sales efforts.
- Nurture existing customer relationships, and proactively and reactively service their needs ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ability to gain a proficient understanding of custom plastic thermoforming, providing technical information and guidance to customers. Collaborate with our manufacturing and technical teams to deliver the best solutions to customers.
- Commitment to always provide superior customer service and demonstrate strong sense of urgency.
- Prepare quotes and negotiate practical terms, conditions and pricing to close deals.
- Provide customers information regarding prices, availability, product uses, shipments, and credit terms.
- Prepare sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records and maintaining customer records in CRM in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues in sales, marketing, operations, and service to exchange customer/market information, explore new commercial product applications, create quotes, resolve customer complaints, and develop strategic account plans.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, competitor activities, and being aware of how these conditions impact our business.
- Willing and able to travel as needed (up to 50%) to customer sites, trade shows, etc.
- Assist team members in accomplishment of company goals.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Competencies and Work Experience Requirements:
- Ability to consistently live LINDAR’s core values of Integrity, Relationships, Teamwork and Initiative.
- Bachelor’s or Technical degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful technical sales experience, preferably in custom applications.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, results-driven and highly organized.
- Proven track record of closing new business and exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of Plastic Industry methods is preferred but not required.
- Proven technical aptitude and ability to adapt to the needs of the customer.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Job Type:
- Full-time salaried exempt (sales exemption)

Supplemental Pay:
- Commission

Work Location:
- Baxter, MN or remote with ability to travel to Baxter, MN for training.
- Up to 50% Travel required.
