Position Summary
The Production Team Lead is the first “go-to” person in the area to provide information or escalate. The Team Lead is the subject matter expert and Trainer for their area of responsibility. He or she ensures the continuous flow of goods and services is maintained efficiently with respect to the correct amount produced at the level of quality and compliance within the lead time required by the production plan. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Essential Functions
- Lead the Tier 1 shop floor management meeting, including OEE, stretches and job assignments.
- Provide training to the Technical Plans and ensure all operators know, and follow the proper process and techniques
- Develop and follow Leader Standard Work, layered process audits, and ensure standard processes are followed
- Monitor equipment status to meet required Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost goals.
- Ensure timely equipment start up.
- Trouble shoot equipment, monitor, and maintain the continuous flow of production parts.
- Maintain a Continuous Improvement mindset, never settling for the status quo.
- Actively participate in Total Productive Maintenance events and daily actions.
- Respond to trouble calls from production operators.
- Ensure equipment operations standard work is followed.
- Enter Data into Electronic Log Books using Microsoft Excel, Word, or other computer software such as SAP.
- Operate production equipment which includes, but is not limited to prep-work, sanding, gritting, and taping of parts as well as operating coaters, ovens, lasers, conveying equipment, grit blasting equipment, CVD, and slurry equipment.
- Provide performance feedback to the supervisor.
- Cover other Lead and operator vacations and absenteeism.
- Assist and perform duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The individual will be required to adhere to 5S and safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor, maintaining a great working environment.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, requiring 8-12 hours of work per day depending on shift schedule. Willing to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends if necessary.

- High School Diploma.
