Manufacturing Process Engineer β| Aerospace Manufacturing

Salary: Up to $115,000
Hitemco, a Lincotek company, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing operations for advanced aerospace surface coating processes. This individual will develop and improve manufacturing processes, standardize production documentation, drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Operations to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
As part of Hitemco's digital transformation initiative, this engineer will also serve as a key member of the SAP ERP implementation team, supporting manufacturing process integration, process mapping, SAP master data, testing (UAT), user adoption, and successful deployment of SAP manufacturing processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Create, update, and maintain manufacturing work instructions, production travelers, and process documentation.
- Support tooling and fixture design to improve manufacturability and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering on new product introductions and process improvements.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Analyze production data to improve manufacturing performance, quality, and throughput.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA investigations, and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, NADCAP, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Support new process development, process validation, and production launches.
- Participate as a key member of the SAP ERP implementation team, supporting manufacturing process mapping, business process improvement, system testing (UAT), data validation, and go-live activities.
- Support SAP master data creation and maintenance, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, work centers, production resources, and manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, IT, and Quality teams to ensure successful SAP implementation and continuous optimization of manufacturing workflows.
- Support ERP transactions and ongoing SAP manufacturing operations after implementation.
- Maintain a safe work environment while following company safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 7 years of manufacturing process engineering experience, preferably within aerospace, precision manufacturing, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting or participating in SAP ERP implementation projects or significant hands-on SAP manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint interpretation, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA.
- Experience designing or supporting manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to qualify under ITAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Thermal Spray Coatings or Diffusion Heat Treat process experience.
- Experience in ISO 9001 and NADCAP-certified manufacturing environments.
- CAD software experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing process validation and new production launches.
- Previous experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation or ERP transformation projects is highly desirable.
Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
