Work Schedule:
- Hours: 9:30am 2pm
- Fridays: 1 hour reserved for feedback and support meeting (held in person or via Zoom)
Location: Camp locations vary by day. A schedule will be provided in advance to support planning.
Position Overview: the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) supports Summer Camp Leads in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for elementary-aged children. This role is ideal for teens interested in leadership development, working with children, and gaining hands-on camp experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily camp setup, including preparing activities and snacks
- Support camp leads by gathering and organizing supplies throughout the day
- Co-facilitate games and activities with guidance from supervisors
- Help supervise elementary-aged children during lunch and recess
- Assist with lunch preparation and distribution
- Facilitate and lead games during recess
- Support end-of-day cleanup and preparation for the following day
Additional Information:
- This is a temporary, part-time position with no benefits
- A final evaluation will be conducted at the end of the work assignment
- Participants are responsible for their own transportation
