Special Education Teaching Assistant

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified Teaching Assistant commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The teaching assistant role is a district-wide position.

Duties and Responsibilities(Not limited to):

The teaching assistant’s role is to support students in the general education classroom and within the ACE Alternative Program. ACE supports students with additional executive functioning, and social-emotional needs. On a daily basis the teaching assistant will be:

• Supports the ACE teaching staff in the ACE program classes
• Works with ACE classroom teacher(s) to assist students in organizing and completing their assignments, quizzes, and tests
• Provides support in identified content area(s), clarifies and reteaches material, in collaboration with the classroom teacher
• Collaborates with the special educator(s) and other members of the ACE Team
• Supports students in their classes outside of the ACE program, as assigned by the program administrator 
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an Associates Degree, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Excellent communication skills       
• Great organizational skills
• Capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility

Experience Preferable:

• Experience working with high school students in a teaching, tutoring or other supportive role
• Experience working in specialized programs that support students with mild to moderate social-emotional and executive functioning needs
• Familiarity with high school curriculum in a variety of content areas

Work Schedule:

• 10 Months, 182 Days
• 180 student days, plus 2 professional development days
• M/T/Th/Fr
• 8:30am - 3:15pm

• Wednesday
• 8:30am - 1:30pm

Salary Range:

• $28.36/hour - $37.85/hour
