Location: Special Education Department/Independence Academy Sites
THIS POSITION WILL COMPLETE THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
This position will support students in the Independence Academy program, the LPS program for students 18-21 years old. This position will assist students with a spectrum of special needs (including behavioral). Responsibilities may include providing individual support and/or working with small groups. The ideal candidate is flexible, able to take initiative, able to follow directions and instructional plans, be a team player, and attend all required training days. Attendance and adaptability are key strengths for this role.
This paraeducator will be assigned to an Independence Academy site and should have the flexibility to travel to all Independence Academy sites within the district. Independence Academy site location may change periodically based upon need.
Work schedule is 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, lunch with students.
2025-2026 Salary is $20.50/hour.
This position is subject to veterans preference.
