Certified Substitute Teacher (2026-2027 school year)
Substitute teachers are those who hold a bachelor degree (or higher) in education. This position requires a Nebraska Teaching (Initial, Standard or Professional) or State Substitute certificate.
Full Day Pay Rate: $192.12
Half Day Pay Rate: $96.05
*These rates are from the 2025-2026 school year. The rates for 2026-2027 are pending board approval.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Current LPS employees retiring or changing from a benefits eligible position to a Substitute Only position are subjected to PPACA or NPERS re-employment rules and will need to wait 90 or 180 days.
