JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Maintenance Trainee STATUS: Hourly
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor DATE: 12/2025
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides technical support at a basic level, including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of facility equipment. Learn and assist with the operation and repair of facility equipment as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the tear down and set up to production equipment under the direction of supervisor and/or designated trainer.
- Complete assigned work orders and maintain documentation of all work performed.
- Maintain all equipment blades used on the equipment such as cleaning and sharpening.
- Make minor adjustments to the equipment to better perform with the flock being processed.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate those to supervisor, lead person and/or designated trainer.
- Demonstrate training information has been received and understood by demonstrating procedures to the designated trainer.
- Participate in training programs provided and utilize skills learned to assist the maintenance team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical procedures.
- Basic knowledge of math.
- Skill in using a variety of computer software, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Skill in communicating in a courteous and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to be a good representative of the Company.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to pass a maintenance entrance exam.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Availability to work on any shift as assigned by management after the completion of the Maintenance Trainee Training Program.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of one year experience in maintenance or a related field required.

Salary : $20
