The Occupational Therapist Will

• Demonstrate essential skill competencies in the delivery of patient
  
  

care in an in-patient or out-patient setting, adhering to

departmental policies and procedures.

• Use effective communications skills to facilitate exchange of ideas
  
  

for quality patient care with patient/family, medical staff, care

team members, students, supervisors, and outside community contacts.

• Be open to feedback and receptive to change as evidenced by
  
  

feedback.

• Complete all necessary tasks and responsibilities that support daily
  
  

operation of the department.

• Maintain competency by participating in professional growth and
  
  

development and internal/external educational activities.

• Act in accordance with the Standards of Conduct and Ethical Practice
  
  

of AOTA, the Vermont Practice Act, and hospital and department

policies.
