Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations, including appointment scheduling, patient flow, and medical record management using Neo software
- Manage financial aspects such as budgeting, billing, invoicing, and expense control to ensure fiscal health of the practice
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing guidance on medical administrative support, human resources policies, and team development
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and JCAHO standards for medical records, privacy, and safety protocols
- Coordinate with veterinary professionals on medical management tasks, acute care procedures, and utilization management to optimize patient outcomes
- Oversee inventory control for medical supplies and dental equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and adherence to safety standards
- Implement clinic policies related to managed care programs and ensure adherence to federal and state healthcare regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare management within a veterinary or dental setting; clinic experience is highly valued
- Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing teams in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with Neo software; familiarity with hospital information systems preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and medical administrative support functions
- Ability to handle budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation effectively
- Experience with dental clinic operations or veterinary practice management is a plus
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in critical care or hospital settings
