Lincoln Park Preschool & Kindergarten (LPP) is seeking an energetic, nurturing, and committed individual to fill a SpanishTeacher position across multiple classrooms aged Toddler-6 years for the 2026-2027 school year.
LPP is a NAEYC-accredited, play-based preschool in Lincoln Park. We are looking for a teacher to rotate across each LPP classroom daily, teaching our Spanish curriculum through play. We are currently looking to fill 1 Spanish Teacher position for the upcoming school year. The position would be under contract through May 2027 with the option to re-sign for the 2027-28 school year if both parties agree. Start date is by September 1, 2026.
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelors Degree, preferably in Education or a closely related field, and have a strong interest in working with children. Candidates must be flexible, strong team-players, and effective communicators. Hours are 9:00 am-2:00 pm, Monday-Friday. PTO and paid school breaks are also included.

Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers with general supervision and management of a class of preschool or kindergarten children.
- Provide a warm and nurturing environment in which the children can grow physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
- Interact with the children and encourage their involvement in group activities.
- Supervise, assist, and participate in all daily routines
- Be familiar with and abide by licensing regulations and all program policies and procedures.
- Work together with all program staff to solve problems, achieve goals, and respectfully communicate needs.
- Follow LPP’s Discipline Policy and LPP’s Guide to Approaching Social Emotional Situations.
Qualifications
- Warm, motivated, nurturing, individual who genuinely enjoys playing with and caring for young children.
- Provide documentation of a bachelor’s degree from an established university.
- Demonstrate the personal characteristics that facilitate effective teacher performance, including self-motivation, creativity, flexibility, dependability, the ability to follow and remember directions, and the ability to make quick decisions and use good judgment.
- Display a positive attitude toward colleagues (co-teachers, directors, and owner), parents, and children.
- Be able to respond immediately to any emergency situation.
- Be willing to continually increase knowledge in the field of early childhood education.
