Job Summary
We are seeking an LPN specializing in Geriatric Nursing to join our team! As a Geriatric Home Health Nurse, you will spend your time caring for our aging patients, administering medication, and following care orders laid out by the team of doctors. You will also work closely with other nurses and nurses aids offering support and guidance,and be a supportive, helpful presence to our patients. The ideal candidate has experience working with an older population, has all the required licensing in the state, and works well independently as well as within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Make weekly visits to check on each patient assigned, assessing current well-being and making notes on issues as needed
- Administer and set up prescribed medications as directed
- Assisting other nurses or nurses aids as needed to provide excellent care
- Being a positive, supportive presence to our aging patients
Qualifications
- Active, valid nursing license within the state
- Experience working with an aging population desired
- Comfortability working independently and within a team
- The ability to multitask and work well under pressure
