Job Title: Floor Coordinator
Location: Lincoln Park Healthcare Campus
Position Summary
The Floor Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assisting with communications among staff members, managing clerical paperwork, and overseeing residents. This role requires gaining cooperation and support from various teams, including CNAs, Behavioral Health, Recreation, Security, and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update resident files, clinical supplies, and perform other duties as assigned based on facility policies and procedures.
- Intervene, intercept, and document any behavioral issues residents may display, including physical altercations, verbal altercations, and threatening behaviors towards staff, peers, or self.
- Monitor the competency and compliance of CNAs to Lincoln Park Healthcare Standards of practice and policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Excellent computer skills
- College coursework in psychology, sociology, counseling, or occupational therapy preferred
- Health care experience/medical terminology preferred
- Coursework or experience with de-escalation of stressful situations preferred
