Overview
Looking for an experienced Blanchard Grinder / Rotary Surface Grinder Operator to become a vital part of precision machining operations. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Blanchard grinding machines to produce high-quality, flat and parallel surfaces on metal workpieces. Your expertise will ensure that parts meet strict dimensional and surface finish specifications, supporting our commitment to manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Blanchard grinding machines with precision
- Interpret blueprints to ensure accurate grinding processes
- Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and granite surface plates to measure your work
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards
Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation
- Knowledge of shop math, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes within a factory environment is a plus
- Ability to operate overhead crane to load the grinder
- Skilled in precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges for quality control purposes
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments in manufacturing settings
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
