Job Title: IOP Transportation Tech / Driver
Department: Substance Abuse Treatment – Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Reports To: Clinical Supervisor and/or Assistant Administrator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
The Transportation Tech is responsible for safely transporting clients to and from the facility for scheduled IOP sessions, appointments, and other program-related activities. The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, compassionate, and capable of maintaining appropriate boundaries with clients in recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to and from the IOP facility in a timely manner, following pre-established routes or schedules.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transport, adhering to traffic laws and organizational policies.
- Report any maintenance issues, incidents, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
- Provide support and encouragement to clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding client attendance, delays, or concerns during transit.
- Assist clients with mobility needs as appropriate, ensuring ADA compliance and respectful care.
- Uphold client confidentiality at all times, following HIPAA and organizational standards.
- Participate in staff meetings and training related to safety, ethics, and behavioral health support.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in behavioral health, substance abuse recovery, or human services preferred.
- Ability to interact compassionately and professionally with individuals in recovery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clean and valid Driver's license.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- CPR/First Aid training preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods and drive long distances.
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Exposure to various weather conditions during travel.
- Must be flexible with scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
