Per Diem Substitute Teacher

Overview

Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School is seeking qualified and reliable Substitute Teachers on a per diem basis. Substitute Teachers will provide instruction and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher and be enthusiastic about making a positive impact in urban communities.

Key Responsibilities:Instructional Delivery:

• Deliver lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the absent classroom teacher
• Provide instruction and facilitate learning experiences in accordance with school policies and procedures
  
  

Classroom Management:

• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and productive learning environment
• Implement classroom rules and expectations to maintain order and discipline
  
  

Adaptability:

• Adapt teaching strategies and instructional materials to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Follow classroom procedures and routines established by the regular classroom teacher
  
  

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with school administrators, staff, and students
• Provide feedback and report any concerns or issues to the appropriate school personnel
  
  

Flexibility:

• Be available to work on short notice and accommodate varying assignments and grade levels
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing classroom environments and instructional needs
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (required).
• Previous experience working with children or youth preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and classroom routines.
• Clearances: FBI fingerprints, PA state background check, child abuse history clearance, and a physical examination
