Sales Assistant (Onsite, Horsham, PA)

Basic Function: Provide administrative and clerical support to financial representative(s). This position requires excellent customer service skills to provide support to the advisor (and clients) in a reliable, efficient, and professional manner. Series 6 or 7 required (which may be obtained within 6 months of employment and is a condition of continued employment). This position requires onsite work four days per week.

Responsibilities
- Client Servicing
- Ensure that clients are promptly, courteously, and professionally serviced and their questions and problems effectively resolved.
- Responsible for client contact which includes communication by phone and email
- Document client interactions via CRM
- Assist clients with service needs, including general account questions, account changes, loans, and withdrawals
- Keep financial representative informed of any client issues of significant concern
- Ensure that more complex questions are referred to the financial representative promptly; convey information back to clients when appropriate
- Prepare and submit client paperwork and financial transactions
- Ensure that sales opportunities are forwarded to the financial representative
- Appointment Preparation
- Prepare client information
- Schedule appointments based on financial representative/client requests
- Post appointment follow up, including summary correspondence, additional paperwork to client, and paperwork review
- Paperwork
- Review paperwork for accuracy and submit for processing
- Follow up on submitted paperwork and work with home office to resolve any problems
- Escalate operational issues to branch administrator and advise of any trends regarding errors
- Generate paperwork for loan request and send to client
- Follow up with client on outstanding paperwork
- Submit correspondence and sales material to compliance for review
- Other/General
- Responsible for executing marketing tasks, including monthly newsletters, and greeting cards
- Draft correspondence
- Maintain financial representative calendar
- Seminar preparation
- Monitor incoming and outgoing mail
- Stay apprised on industry and company rules and regulations
- Attend branch operations meetings and sales assistant conferences, as needed
- Other projects & tasks as assigned
- At least 2 years of experience in financial services and/or similar sales or advisor support position.
- Customer service experience
- Familiarity with the Pershing clearing and custody platform preferred
- Knowledge of mutual funds and retirement plans
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred.
- Series 6 or 7 required (which may be obtained within 6 months of employment and is a condition of continued employment).
