TITLE: HS Choreography

HIRING SPECIFICATIONS:
Required:
1. Experience in choreography in a leadership role.
Desired:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in dance or music.
2. Experience as a high school or collegiate dance instructor or choreographer.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Provide choreography for vocal music department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Direct rehearsals to instruct students how to use dance steps and techniques to achieve desired effects.
2. Advise students on how to stand and move properly, teaching correct techniques.
3. Coordinate production music with music directors.
4. Audition performers as needed.
5. Submit reports and activity checklists to building and district administration as requested.
ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (for every DMPS position):
1. Attend work on a prompt and regular basis.
2. Maintain confidentiality.
3. Maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public, students, and other employees.
4. Assist with other duties as may be assigned
5. Attend district-wide meetings as requested.
