What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consultant, Process Owner - Agile Marketing position at Lincoln Financial Group?
What you'll be doing
- Supporting two high performing Agile teams by facilitating progress toward the achievement of the teams’ sprint goals using Agile practices.
- Reviewing incoming project requests from the teams, converting requests into projects, and setting up project schedules in the Adobe Workfront workflow platform (“The Queue”).
- Coordinating more complex information with other non-Agile teams involved in projects and assisting with schedule adjustments to ensure projects and resources are on track and able to meet deadlines.
- Identifying dependencies and removing impediments to Agile teams’ progress while facilitating Scrum ceremonies with assigned teams (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Demo, Retrospective and Backlog Refinement).
- Managing the sprint backlog in the Queue and documenting each team’s capacity and work effort.
- Capturing and reports on more complex Agile metrics such as velocity and cycle time to show progress throughout the sprint and sprint to sprint.
- Working closely with product owners to understand sprint priorities as well as any changes that may impact the sprint. Keeping the product owner informed of capacity issues within the teams.
- Ensuring key artifacts (Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, Team Norms) are established and reviewed and maintained on a regular cadence.
- Facilitating collaborative sessions with resources to formulate more complex creative and practical solutions to process challenges.
- Fostering assigned Agile teams to self-organization; ensuring and supporting empowerment of the teams.
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution to strengthen the teams.
- Keeping the teams focused on the Sprint and achieving Sprint goals.
- Coaching Agile teams to support Agile adoption and application of principles.
- Participating in the Process Owner Community of Practice to develop best practices and share amongst the process owner team for consistency and transparency.

The pay range for this position is $69,000 - $124,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
