Lincoln Energy Solutions is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software while learning to manage user access and network security. This role also provides front-line IT support, monitors system performance, and troubleshoots issues under supervision.

Responsibilities:
- Creates and updates knowledge base articles and training to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Provides end-user troubleshooting and assistance to IT Helpdesk.
- Engages in Tier 1 network troubleshooting and planning.
- Investigates and monitors security alerts from various telemetry systems and escalates as needed.
- Assists IT Helpdesk in monitoring email security system.
- Performs hardware maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Communicates with vendors alongside Systems Administrator to ensure functionality of various systems.
- Assists with account management within Active Directory and other systems.
- Assists Systems Administrator with new system preparation and rollouts.
- Tests new systems and systems updates alongside Systems Administrator.
- Validates backup images and backup functionality alongside Systems Administrator.
- Assists with MDM management across all supported organizations.
- Develops and maintains system scripts and assigned automations.
- Performs proactive system and service monitoring, escalating issues to the Systems Administrator as needed.
- Assists with and participates in disaster planning and recovery exercises.
- Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Required:
- Minimum of associate degree in Computer related field. Will consider job experience and/or relevant certifications in lieu of a degree.
- Willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to work with users both onsite and remotely.
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%).
- Ability to work nights/weekends on a rotational basis.
Preferred:
- One year of experience with:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012
- PC and Server Hardware Experience.
- Firewall and Internet Security hardware and software.
- Ability to successfully troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a multi-user environment.
- Familiarity with the petroleum distribution or renewable fuels distribution industry.
- Familiarity with Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Project planning and resource estimation experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Largely sedentary role in a clerical office setting.
- Frequently positions self to maintain computers and office equipment, including under desks and in the server closet.
- Must be able to move computers and other office equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
