Job Overview

This is a senior-level, hands-on technology leadership role focused on managing and improving Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within a global manufacturing environment. The position sits at the intersection of IT and factory operations (OT), meaning the person will ensure that systems used on the production floor are reliable, efficient, and fully aligned with business goals like productivity, quality, and cost control.

The role is not just strategic—it also requires hands-on technical involvement, meaning the person will actively support systems, solve issues, and guide implementations while leading broader technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own MES Systems End-to-End You’re responsible for the full lifecycle of MES platforms—designing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving them to support manufacturing operations.
• Bridge IT and Manufacturing (OT) A big part of the job is connecting traditional IT systems (like SAP) with shop floor technologies (like PLCs, SCADA). This ensures seamless data flow from machines to business systems.
• Design Technical Solutions (Architecture) You will define how systems are structured and integrated—making sure they are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with company standards.
• Drive Technology DecisionsThe role involves evaluating new tools and deciding what technologies should be introduced or improved to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate Across Teams You’ll work closely with operations, engineering, and IT teams, translating operational needs into technical solutions and driving alignment across stakeholders.
