Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspection & Metrology
- Perform dimensional inspections using:
- Basic tools (rulers, tape measures)
- Precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Conduct measurements and troubleshooting using Faro Arm portable CMM
- Calibrate probes and interpret measurement data to support tooling adjustments
- Perform detailed layouts using bridge CMM
- Repair, adjust, and troubleshoot mechanical assemblies
- Use standard hand tools (wrenches, hammers, punches)
- Understand and work with mechanical components (fasteners, screws, pins)
- Perform hole repairs (drilling, reaming, tapping, helicoils, keenserts)
- Operate a forklift safely
- Create and calibrate probe setups
- Develop manual and automated CMM inspection programs
- Apply GD&T principles in measurement and validation
- Analyze data to verify product conformance and support corrective actions
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
- Determine product conformance against engineering and customer requirements
- Convert between metric and standard units
- Communicate inspection results to internal teams and customers
- Use 3D CAD systems to support inspection and measurement activities
- Evaluate dimensions and tolerances
- Create simplified models and drawings for parts and assemblies
- Complete and maintain accurate inspection documentation
- Support documentation control and identify gaps or missing records
- Assist others in proper documentation practices when needed
- Participate in internal inspections and audits
- Support audit preparation and act as an active audit team member
- Contribute to issue identification, reporting, and resolution
- Associate degree or equivalent technical training/experience
- Minimum 2 years of quality experience in a structured manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- Strong verbal, written, and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Nitro PDF)
