Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive title searches using public records, legal descriptions, and mapping software to verify ownership and easements.
- Review and process real estate documentation, including deeds, easements, rights-of-way, and legal descriptions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and update title records within real estate transaction management software and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) platforms.
- Perform title review in accordance with underwriting guidelines to assess risks and ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Support real estate closing management by preparing necessary documentation, coordinating with law offices, and tracking transaction progress.
- Research public records to gather pertinent information related to property ownership, encumbrances, or restrictions affecting land use.
- Assist in mapping projects by utilizing mapping software to visualize property boundaries, easements, and other land features for internal or client use.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and title processing procedures.
- Experience with real estate transaction management software and GIS tools for mapping and data analysis.
