Permanent, full-time, 8 hours per day, 10-month position, benefit eligible
Reports To
Principal
Salary / FLSA: Non-Exempt
Grade 58 ($16.07 - $21.69 per hour), plus local supplement.
The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant’s years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position. Experience outside of this system may not be recognized for pay purposes. For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools’ pay scale.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School diploma
- Knowledge of general office and clerical procedures
- Relevant experience desired
Duties
- General office and clerical procedures
- Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, checks appointments, and directs or escorts them to proper person
- Answers telephone and responds appropriately to requests for information
- Reports immediately the presence in the building of any visitor who bypasses the reception desk or any suspicious activity or unusual behavior on the part of visitors
- Maintains an attractive and comfortable reception area that includes a reading table stocked with current school district publications and periodicals of general interest
- Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects
- Other duties as assigned
