CLASS TITLE: Head Coach
REPORTS TO: Principal/Athletic Director
APPROVED: December 12, 2019
SUPERVISES: N/A
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
- Plans and schedules with the Athletic Director a regular program of practice for each season.
- Assists the Athletic Director in scheduling all intramural and inter-scholastic contests.
- Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms, as appropriate.
- Maintains necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork as specified by the Athletic Director.
- Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are officially present.
- Enforces the established performance criteria for eligibility in inter-scholastic competitions in the assigned sport.
- Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual pupils.
- Develops an annual budget request for the sport, in cooperation with the Principal and Athletic Director and administers the annual budget for the sport according to established policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties consistent with the position assigned by the Principal/Athletic Director.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: LIMITED ANNUAL CONTRACT. SALARY BASED ON THE APPROVED SALARY SCHEDULE.
