Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to special education.
- Maintain active and inactive student folders.
- Assists in providing training and support to school staff on special education laws, policies, and best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, and external agencies regarding special education issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports related to compliance activities.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Special Education Director.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws, regulations, and compliance requirements preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using technology and software relevant to special education management and compliance preferred.
